Remember the Samsung dual slider (like N95) with a big speaker on the top sliding side that was floating in the blogosphere some time ago? Guess what, Samsung have officially announced that Symbian powered ultra-slim music phone guys! The phone runs under S60 9.2 version (like 5700 and N95), touch wheel navigation (I assume for music selection), ICEpower amplifier which was developed especially for Samsung by Bang & Olufsen to give superior hi-fi audio quality whilst still making the battery to last longer. As with other music centric device and other S60 3rd edition phones, Samsung SGH-i450 also supports many audio formats such as MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA & WMA with DRM to name a few. Featuring an onboard 35mb memory plus a microSDHC slot for 4GB and higher cards (which btw, 8GB is expected to be available by 1Q next year).
The phone will initially be available in Italy starting in the end of October and the rest of Europe will follow afterwards with an estimated unsubsidized retail price of 360 Euros before taxes.
