cClock - Bigger Clock Screensaver Plus More!

cClock (pronounced "see-clock") is a screensaver application that runs on Nokia S60 3rd edition phones made by Chua Welic.

This handy program features a large font and prevents deep power saving mode on Nokia 6120 classic and Nokia 6110. As you can see, it doesn't only make the size of the displayed time bigger than usual but also offers alot more than you would have expected, like you can opt to display the current day, week, chinese calendar (if phone supports), active profile used, bluetooth and other handy and useful information while the default screensaver is active.

And yes, this is a freeware! Though, there's a bit of work required before you can fully use cClock. You know, we need to self-sign the application first..

You may check Chua Welic's site for the instructions on how to make the stuff work.

Make Your Phone Speak The Time Every Morning!

Right after waking up, are you too lazy to check the current time on your phone screen after the alarm? Would it be great to just let your phone do the 'thang' by reading the current time just for you?

This is where HourPower comes to the rescue. It reads the current time for your convenience. No more looking at your phone screen, nothing to configure, no fancy tricks. Just press the key and hear the time. You can put it on one of the softkeys of the standby-screen for maximum comfort.

HourPower uses the built-in text to speech-engine of S60 3rd Edition phones. English, German and French are currently supported. If your phone is running a different language, you might not get the optimal experience: your phone will try to speak the default English words, but use your local dialect. In that case, you're welcome to translate the words (and - if necessary - extend the source code to make sure that all possible counting-irregularities in your language are properly handled) and send it to us: HourPower is open source and licensed under the GPL!

HourPower
For as long as you have a S60 phone running 3.x (a.k.a. 9.x) you can now refrain from using projecting alarms for good! Thanks for Mr. Andreas Jaki for providing us with this handy application. I almost forgot, best part is, (as what the GPL license means) HourPower is totally FREE! So head on and download it! =)
